Eric Oganesoff
Partner, Focus, LLC
Eric M. Oganesoff, a FOCUS Partner, who has conducted over forty
M&A, debt and capital raise transactions with an aggregate value
of over $300 million and has served as the CEO or President of nine
companies. Mr. Oganesoff has over twenty years of senior executive
level experience in businesses ranging from wireless solutions,
software and RFID services to manufacturing, industrial products,
energy and environmental products
In the two years prior to joining FOCUS,
Mr. Oganesoff led or co-led the formation of three companies in
RFID services, supply chain and logistics solutions and advanced
fiber product manufacturing. Mr. Oganesoff led the business strategy
development, M&A transactions and capital raise activities as
an investor and transition CEO in these ventures.
Mr. Oganesoff served as President and
CEO of TracerNet, an enterprise level wireless mobile asset management
solutions provider for commercial fleets. There he developed the
core business strategy and market positioning and raised $6.5 million
in investment capital to take the company from minimal revenue and
one customer to recognized market leadership within 18 months.
As Chairman, CEO and Founder of Greenstone
Industries, a consolidation of specialty fiber manufacturers and
distributors with nine manufacturing facilities across North America,
Mr. Oganesoff led the company's successful IPO in 1994, nine months
after starting the company. Under his leadership Greenstone acquired
seven companies during the first 15 months of operations. Mr. Oganesoff
also led the negotiations to sell the company to Louisiana-Pacific
Corporation (LP), a $2.5 billion forest products company, in 1997.
The Company eventually grew to over $200 million in revenue as the
market leader. Mr. Oganesoff also led LP’s dot com strategy
initiative during the internet boom in 1999 and 2000.
Prior to this, Mr. Oganesoff served
as President of Washington Resources Group, Inc. (WRG), a diversified
holding company with a total of 22 operating subsidiaries and high-tech
venture capital investments and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Washington
Gas Light. During Mr. Oganesoff’s tenure at WRG he led the
sale of several subsidiaries, raised equity capital and debt, made
new investments, conducted several turnarounds and created joint
ventures.
Mr. Oganesoff received a White House
appointment to NASA as Special Assistant to the Associate Administrator,
Office of Space Flight where he headed the NASA task force that
developed NASA's first strategic marketing plan for Space Shuttle
launch services.
Mr. Oganesoff received his BS degree
in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. He earned
his MBA degree from Southern Illinois University. He has also served
on the board of many high-tech and emerging companies and industry
associations.
