Mark L. Connolly
Senior Managing Director, Source Companies, LLC

Mark Connolly serves as a Managing Director for Source Capital, Ltd.  He has over 25 years of professional experience, heavily concentrated in institutional real estate finance.  Prior to joining Source Companies, he was a Senior Vice President and Division Head for LaSalle Bank N.A. responsible for its Pittsburgh, PA regional loan production office.  Mr. Connolly opened the real estate lending division in 2003, managing the growth of the division from start-up to over $350 million in loan commitments to middle market regional real estate development companies.   Prior to his work with LaSalle Bank, Mr. Connolly was President of IFS Capital, LLC, a financial advisor and placement agent representing tenants and issuers in the private placement and commercial mortgage markets. During this time, Mr. Connolly served as a Senior Consultant for Source on certain client matters.

Prior to forming IFS Capital, Mr. Connolly was a Managing Director in the Private Placement Department for PNC Capital Markets, Inc.  In addition to structuring and marketing traditional corporate private placements, Mr. Connolly developed credit tenant lease and sale-leaseback financing products for investment grade lessees that were marketed to institutional investors.  He acted as lead investment banker in the structuring and placement of over $300 million of lease-collateralized first mortgage notes under CTL and Bond lease programs he developed.

Mr. Connolly’s prior work experience includes positions with PNC Realty Holding Corp as a Vice President/Senior Asset Manager and with PNC Bank as a Vice President/Relationship Manager. Prior to joining PNC, Mr. Connolly was an Industrial Engineer with Westinghouse Electric Corporation.

Mr. Connolly holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics, and M.B.A. in Finance and J.D. degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. He resides in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
